Calm adventure games to unwind with
Some evenings I don't want a challenge. I want to poke around a pretty world, solve the odd puzzle, and let the music do the work. That's a whole category of mobile games, and it's criminally underrated.
Skybound Relics is a perfect example. You glide between floating islands, uncover a gentle story, and never once have to fight anything. The movement alone is worth the download, catching updrafts and swooping down feels wonderful.
The trick with these games is to not treat them like a checklist. There's no need to rush the puzzles or hunt for a hundred percent completion. Wander, look around, and let the game breathe.
They also make great before-bed games, since nothing spikes your heart rate. I've swapped out doomscrolling for twenty minutes of quiet exploration and slept better for it.
If your library is all high-score chasers and racers, add one of these to balance it out. Sometimes the best game is the one that lets you slow down.
